New Moon Ritual: Journey of the Fool

Ritual based on the first major arcana card of Tarot (The Fool) - which symbolises new beginnings and ventures. We will be doing this ritual outdoors in the woods near South Croydon. It will involve walking 15-20 minutes to reach a viewing point looking at the landscape of City of London (if no clouds). The walking will build up the items  (collected enroute) for the Fool’s pouch..to creating a Talisman and consecrating it at each of the -gateways of the elements..

SAMHAIN Open Ritual   -Thursday 1st Nov’12. This ritual is finished

“The ritual will be based around the myth of The Morrigan, Dagda, the Tuatha Dé Danann and their vanquish of the Formorians . This particular myth is one of the few that is specifically set at Samhain and the facilitators intend to create a powerful and otherworldly ritual, to harness the magic of this liminal time. If possible,  join the ritual team in creating an otherworldly space by wearing predominantly black and/or red clothing and something to obscure your face. For example, a mask, heavy make-up or facepaint"

Venue / Time/ Fee: PFL Open Rituals take place indoors, at Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, Holborn. A different `Group or Ritual team’ facilitates each ritual (over seen by PF London).  Usually on a Thursday evening (dates on the right).  Entrance is £5 (for PF members & concessions) /£6 for all others.  Arrive at 7.30pm for pre-ritual socials. Ritual starts at 8pm and usually concludes before 9pm.  Bring a little food & drink to share at Social afterwards.. between 9pm- 10pm.

Outdoor Yule (Mid-Winter Solstice) Open Ritual in South London (Croydon)  - Saturday 22n Dec’12

A special ritual to mark the end of one Mayan cycle and beginning of another. Join us for the Journey of the Fool, and quest through the 4 Elements to consecrate a magical Talisman. Anoint the Yule-log (yes a real one) with your wishes & hopes for 2013, and place it in the ritual fire. Then feast with home made bread, mulled Wine.. some woodland tribal cooking. Don’t forget the Mistletoe!

Hern’s Tribe meets for each of the 8 seasonal festivals, in an outdoor woodland setting, for rituals and socials. Tamesa River of Souls SAMHAIN Outdoor Ritual   - Wednesday 31st Oct’12- This ritual is finished

We are gathering by the river Thames on the 31st October’2012, around 8pm by the Millennium Bridge (St-Paul’s side) ..for this annual ritual. It’s an evening where you can dress up freely in your Witchy, pagan or magical robes, cloaks and attires…and be seen.. as everyone else is busy doing their fancy-dress parties in London. An opportunity not to be missed. We will facilitate a very simple ceremony.. of creating sacred space, calling ancestral quarters in place of east, south, west & north…and honour our ancestors as well as the thousands of spirits that inhabit the river Thames (from the bodies & bones that have been thrown into Thames for many centuries…).

In Greek mythology, Charon the ferryman sails souls of the dead across river Styx to the Underworld (he requires coins as payment). So for this night, river Thames (meaning `dark one’) stands in for river Styx, and as token gesture for our ancestors’ spirits, we will offer small coins into Thames..
