PFL Spring Equinox Open Ritual in Central London. Thursday 22nd March 2012. Spring equinox is a time of new beginning and initiating enterprises. A time of reaching balance between Dark & Light.. day & night. It is a time of noticeable lengthening of day-light hours and quickening. We have a special treat once more – Romuva- a Lithuanian Pagan group in London- have been researching and resurrecting many of their old folklore and pagan rituals and customs, and are facilitating this Spring open ritual. Expect grace, beauty, songs & dance to enchant us all. Romuva on facebook: www.facebook.com/Romuva
Imbolc Open Ritual. On Thursday 2nd February 2012.
Imbolc is a time when the Goddess Bride `returns’. Her path is lit by candles, symbolising the return of light and warmth which is imminent. Bride is a Goddess of poetry, inspiration, healing, knot-magic and weaving. With her, she brings the gifts of 3 flames! In this deep and meditative ritual, we create sacred space, and walk a candle-lit spiral to gain the gifts of Bride!
Beltane Open Ritual by Hern’s Tribe: Thursday 28th April’11 (Conway Hall). A fun filled Beltane ritual full of Horned Gods, Green man, Nymphs and Sirens! Those attended witnessed the mating dance of Hern & Gaia, followed by the awakening of Green Lady! The `Hosts’ took us through 5 volunteers and their Challenges with the Quarter-Nymohs & Sirens. One man was victorious and after wrestling with the Green Man, won the hand of the Green Lady. There was much merriment and dancing of fertility into the land! (~MN)
PFL Imbolc 2011 ritual by Bacchus Border Morris took place on 27th Jan’11, at Conway Hall. It was facilitatd , with their usual vibrancy, energy and noise- to wake us all from wintery sleep! Four members cast the circle by interlocking their dance-sticks and rotating, followed by calling quarters. There was a general dance that got everyone tapping, clapping and moving, and the ceremony ended early enough that everyone had plenty of time to finish all the food and socialise. The other memorable thing about his night was that it generally marked the Scottish Burns Night, and ritual goers were teated to a good 40 minutes of genuine bag-pipe tunes by a Scot in kilt in the foyer (he was supporting another event!). (~MN).
PFL Yule 2010 Ritual by The Goddess Group. This took place on Thursday 9th Dec’10 at Conway Hall, Central London. Over 50 people attended the ceremony. One member of ritual team sang `Silent Night, Solstice Night’.. as the participants processed into the temple space.. and were consecrated with incense and a tap by an antler to their solar plexis. Meditative, magical, with a walking path-working that took attendees on a journey of the Sun around an annual cycle, the ritual had people offering symbolic `gold’ coin to the antlered Goddess Elen, and then picking an Oracle card. Spiral Dance, feasting with food and wine and socials followed. PF London would like to thank Caroline Wise & The Goddess Group for this wonderful ritual.
